Everything founders ask us, in one place
The essentials are on the homepage — here's the full list, grouped by what you're actually trying to figure out.
Before you ask
Getting started
What does an AI software development company do?
It designs and engineers applications that use AI as part of a business workflow. The work includes interfaces, data access, integrations, evaluation, deployment, and operational support—not only prompts.
What types of AI software can ArrayBros build?
Our proposed project scope can include AI agents, copilots, RAG knowledge assistants, document-processing tools, workflow automation, and AI-enabled SaaS applications.
Can you add AI to our existing software?
Yes. We assess your application, APIs, data access, and permissions, then identify an integration that fits the existing product rather than requiring a full replacement.
Do you build AI agents and RAG systems?
Yes. Agent workflows can use tools and approved data sources, while RAG systems retrieve relevant knowledge for model responses. We define boundaries and evaluate the behaviour against your use case.
Do you train custom AI models?
Existing models are often the right starting point. Fine-tuning or custom training requires a separate assessment of data quality, rights, cost, and the benefit over retrieval or prompting; it is not assumed in every build.
How much does custom AI software development cost?
Cost depends on scope, integrations, data readiness, evaluation requirements, and operational needs. We scope the work before providing a quote; model usage and third-party infrastructure are considered separately.
How long does an AI software project take?
The timeline depends on the workflow and the state of your data and systems. Discovery and a focused prototype establish the delivery plan; there is no reliable fixed timeline for every project.
Will I end up talking to a project manager instead of the builders?
You work directly with the people designing and building your software, the same small team from the first call to support.
Will the project go quiet halfway through?
You get a demo every week and plain-language updates on a shared board, so you always know where things stand.
Who checks the work AI helps produce?
AI speeds up planning, drafts and repetitive work. A senior person reviews and signs off on everything that ships.
Can you take over a stalled or half-built project?
Yes. We take on stalled builds, half-finished AI exports and inherited codebases.
We're in a different time zone. Does that work?
We work async across time zones, talk on WhatsApp first and invoice in USD or AED through Wise or Payoneer.
Who owns the source code, prompts, and data?
Ownership and handover are defined in the agreement. Our delivery approach gives you the project code and documentation; third-party tools and model providers retain their own licensing and service terms.
Do you provide support after launch?
We can agree an ongoing engineering scope for fixes, monitoring, model or integration changes, and product improvements. The responsibilities and response arrangements are defined before launch.
Pricing & engagement
How much does a project cost?
Published bands, not guesswork: Build From Scratch $6k–18k, Launch Rescue $2.5k–8k, Fix & Maintain $1.5k–6k, AI Features & Automation $3k–8k per flow — plus retainers from $300–2,000/mo for ongoing support. The exact number gets fixed for your specific scope during the paid scoping session ($500–900, credited to the build).
What actually happens in the scoping session?
We go through your goals and requirements — and for a rescue, a full audit of the existing code. You leave with a written scope and a timeline, before anything gets built.
Can we start small instead of committing to a full build?
Yes. Most clients start with a single AI feature, a Fix & Maintain engagement, or just the scoping session itself, then expand once it's proven. Nothing requires the full build upfront.
Can you integrate with the tools and systems we already use?
Yes — CRMs, payment providers, calendars, and whatever your product already runs on get connected as part of the build, not bolted on afterward.
Will the product scale as we grow?
It's built on stacks that scale (Next.js, Node, Python, React Native) so adding users or features later doesn't mean a rebuild — but every build is scoped for where you are now, not hypothetical scale you don't need yet.
AI development & automation
What's the difference between an AI chatbot and an AI agent?
A chatbot answers questions inside a conversation. An agent goes further — it looks things up, takes an action (books a slot, sends a confirmation, flags something for you), and can carry out a multi-step task without you doing it by hand. Which one you need depends on the job, not the label.
Do you train your own AI models?
No — we integrate proven models (OpenAI, Anthropic's Claude, and similar) against your own data and systems, rather than training something from scratch. It ships faster, costs less to run, and is easier to improve than a custom model most projects don't actually need.
How do you stop the AI from making things up?
Answers are grounded in your own verified information instead of letting the model improvise, with a human handoff built in for anything it isn't confident about. It's designed to say "let me check" instead of guessing.
Can an AI feature connect to our existing data, calendar, or CRM?
Yes — that's usually the point. Bookings, confirmations, alerts, and Q&A tools are built to read and write your actual systems, not sit next to them as a separate app to check.
How long does an AI feature take to build?
A single well-scoped flow — a booking assistant, a support tool trained on your docs, an automated follow-up — usually ships in one to three weeks once it's scoped.
Can you fix or improve an AI chatbot or tool we already have?
Yes — same approach as Launch Rescue. We audit what's there, find where it's breaking or giving bad answers, and fix or rebuild the parts that need it rather than starting over.
What happens if the AI gets something wrong?
It's built to flag uncertainty and hand off to a person rather than push forward blindly. Every AI feature we ship has a fallback path, not just a happy path.
Web & mobile development
Do you build native apps, or cross-platform?
Cross-platform with React Native — one codebase for iOS and Android, including store submission. It's the right fit for nearly every founder-stage app; fully native is a case-by-case conversation.
Do you build e-commerce sites?
Yes — from marketing and product sites to full storefronts, as part of Web Design & Development.
Can you redesign or rebuild a website or app we already have?
Yes — Fix & Maintain if it's stable but needs work, Launch Rescue if it stalled and needs finishing.
Where does the finished product get hosted?
On your own infrastructure — your hosting, your domain, your accounts. You're never dependent on us to keep it running.
Working with us
What does the handover include?
The repo, documentation, design files, and a walkthrough — everything needed to run and extend the product without us.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, whenever a client needs one — happy to sign yours or ours before any detail of the project gets discussed.
Do you offer support after launch?
Yes — a retainer covering monitoring, fixes, and small features, from $300–2,000/mo depending on the product. Support & Growth is the eighth phase of every build, not an afterthought.
What if something's off partway through?
Because the scope is agreed up front and you get a demo every week, issues get caught and addressed sprint by sprint, not discovered as a surprise at delivery.
